Stretch is an AI-powered video repurposing platform that transforms long-form videos into engaging, shareable clips optimized for various social media platforms. By analyzing your content, it identifies the most impactful segments and automatically generates clips tailored for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. The platform offers features such as automatic editing, caption generation, and publishing, all within a user-friendly interface. Additionally, it provides marketing insights and trend analyses to enhance the performance of your content.

Customer Challenge

The challenge was to migrate workloads from On-demand instances to Spot instances, which are cost-effective but come with the risk of potential interruptions. The project needed to ensure that workloads could scale automatically, handle interruptions, and maintain operational continuity in a resilient, cost-effective setup.

Solution

IAMOPS implemented a solution to transition the customer’s infrastructure from On-demand to Spot instances using Google Cloud services. Key components included:

1) Infrastructure Setup:

Leveraging a multi-tiered architecture using GCP services like Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage, with Cloud Armor for security.

2) Spot Instance Migration:

Configured Spot instances to handle workloads with auto-scaling to maintain capacity even if Spot instances were reclaimed.

3) CI/CD Automation:

Cloud Build managed continuous integration and deployment across environments, automating Spot configuration deployments.

4) Monitoring and Logging:

Integrated Cloud Monitoring and Logging for continuous monitoring and rapid issue resolution.

Results & Benefits

The migration to Spot instances provided substantial cost savings and ensured operational resilience:

Cost Reduction: Monthly savings of approximately $11,214, significantly reducing compute expenses.
Operational Continuity: Automated scaling and fallback mechanisms minimized service disruptions despite potential Spot instance interruptions.
Efficient CI/CD Pipeline: Enhanced deployment automation led to minimized downtime and improved resilience.
